Bull City Schools United will bring together parents, students, and educators to build the capacity of the Durham Public Schools families to combat race, gender, and LGBT+ discrimination and build positive school climates for all students.

We envision a district that promotes intergenerational, intersectional equity conversations among families, faith and community organizations, schools that center equity in their mission by creating equity teams and standards, staff that are well-versed and well-trained in promoting equitable practices in their spaces, and communities that author their own policies on equity and determines the district’s direction as a vehicle for social justice.
